Blow Up

Blow up is a single player 2D platformer made for Windows with an explosive twist. You must utilize explosives to fling yourself upwards and make progress. Play across a variety of maps and use a variety of explosives of different power to make it to the end!

Features

Blow up features 9 relatively short levels, each getting progressively harder, introducing two additional explosives of different power levels, and a few hot desert themed levels. The early levels may be a piece of cake, but the later levels will require a good amount of patience and practice to get through as they push the range of the explosives to their limit.

The graphics and style for Blow Up are inspired by Gameboy pixel art and uses a palette reminiscent of that same style. Blow up is fairly short, it's something you can complete in a 30  - 60 minute session. But, if you want to take a break or come back to it after finishing, all of your progress and settings should be saved :)

Controls

Mouse and keyboard is highly encouraged. Here are the default keybindings, which can be changed in game to your liking.

- A/D to move left/right, and space bar to jump.

- Left mouse click to fire a bullet, particularly useful against explosives.

- You can hold shift to walk much slower, making precise shots easier to line up.

Note

Blow Up autosaves after changing anything in the settings menu and when completing a level, so all of you progress and settings should be safe. If you don't want the save file sitting around after you're done with the game, the save file is in "c:/users/user/appdata/roaming/godot/app_userdata/blow up", and is named "level_data.save"
